The management team says that they value feedback, and provide employees with feedback, but they don't. The longer I was there, the more obvious it became that was not the case. When I first started, it seemed like morale was decent, and ownership cared about the company. The other statements you make are inaccurate signs that you were clearly not a good fit for our organization, so we will just wish you much luck in locating an organization that is better suited to you. The percentages paid by the employee is only 30% of the actual premiums which is on average 20% less than what other employers require the employee to pay. Our benefits package contains one of the best health insurances in the entire state of Iowa, is Grandfathered to us and unavailable to anyone else in the state. The average length of service is 5 years, which is truly remarkable given that our Vice President/COO had to make some very difficult changes in the past 6 years to grow our organization to more than double in both staff and revenue. Additionally, not only do we pay comparative wages for the Des Moines metro area, we rolled out an incentive plan that provides even higher wages for those who excel. Our turnover rate is 24% and the majority of our turnover is self-elimination. The Bureau of Labor Statistics published the national average turnover rate as 44.3% in a publication October 2019, and of course this was pre-Covid-19. However, since you state so many inaccuracies, we would like to address a few. We understand your inability to provide an objective opinion of our company. Don't fall into their trap, be the light that shines towards a brighter future. While we hope this wasn't what prompted you to leave the organization, we hope you consider that regardless of where you go in life, there are going to be people a long the way that want you to join in their unhappiness because it affirms they were "right" to be negative. Unhappy individuals enjoy trying to pull co-workers into their unhappiness, so they openly communicate their negativity. Without specifics we can't really address some of your statements, but as within any organization there will be people that are simply not happy about anything the organization tries to do because fundamentally they just aren't happy individuals. It should also be remembered that this same requirement is made of the entire company including the salaried employees who do not get additional compensation like the non-exempts employees do. We also make certain during the interview process, everyone understands there will be over-time during a peak seasons and it will be required, so to complain after the fact is really on them. Unfortunately when unemployment jumps in an area, wages go down instead of up, but we have not followed that trend and have kept our starting wages comparative to what was pre-pandemic wages. While we would like very much to be able to pay everyone more, the health of the overall organization has to be considered so that we have the ability to employee more employees instead of a few high paid employees. Raises and salary are compared regularly to the Des Moines metro area and are within those comparative ranges. We wish you much luck in all your future endeavors. Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback.
